Our Purpose

Definition of the Church

‘The Church as a redeemed community is set forth as a demonstration of God’s saving grace in Christ, and so exist for the express purpose of glorifying God Who has so worked to accomplish this gracious feat [see Ephesians 1:3-14]’ (Alex Montoya)

Purpose of Grace Christian Church (GCC)

There are several ways to state the same purpose. We have expressed it in different words to help you understand it better:

  • Exalting God  (Worshipping Community)
  • Edifying the Saints (Working Community)
  • Evangelising the Lost (Witnessing Community)

In light of the two ways to express our purpose, we can now put it in sentence form:

'We at GCC exist to love God and neighbor by making disciples of Jesus Christ, through soul-winning, church planting, and church strengthening’

Or, to put it in other words: 'We at GCC exist to reveal the glory of God, through our worship of Him, our work of service to one another, and our witness to the world'
